Moncho is a family business sparked by our love of good food and simple, quality ingredients. We all grew up on biltong and, when we finally decided to make our own, we wanted something clean and honest. No additives and nothing unnecessary. Nearly all our spices are certified organic, and the rest are the best we can get our hands on.

I’m Alison, and I look after most of the customer side of things… chatting with our regulars, packing orders, and keeping the wheels turning. Dion is our technical mind. He’s the one who builds, fixes, and fine-tunes the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps the biltong drying just right. Tristan brings the creative spark, shaping how Moncho looks and feels from the logo to the tiny details that make our brand feel like us. And Erin-Leigh is our people person. She brings her energy and warmth wherever Moncho shows up at local markets.

At the heart of it, we work together. Every batch that leaves our registered kitchen has been seasoned, sliced, and packed by our own hands. It’s a team effort, built on family, laughter, and a shared obsession with getting it right.

And yes… there are always a few leftover pieces that mysteriously “need” taste-testing for quality control.
